Santa Maria children who undergo chemo treatment at Lompoc hospitals, however, are at greater risk for malnutrition. Ironically, this is the time when adequate calories, vitamins, and minerals are needed the most for ill Santa Maria children.

Here are some suggestions for helping Lompoc kids with poor appetites receive adequate nutrition:
